Hi! I'm Rodrigo, a director and creative producer from CDMX, living and working in Brooklyn, NY for over a decade.
I bring multicultural narratives to life through bold, visually compelling storytelling. From branded content to documentaries, I aim to create work that truly resonates with audiences.
I’m passionate about every stage of production, which has led me to develop skills in directing and producing, along with a strong background in editing and motion graphics. I hold a BFA in Media from UIA (CDMX) and an MFA in Computer Art from SVA (NY)
With a deep understanding of Hispanic culture in the U.S., my 8+ years as Head of Video at Remezcla—the largest Latin digital publisher and lifestyle agency in the U.S.—allowed me to explore the rich layers of multicultural storytelling, blending creativity with strategy to create high-impact content. From directing the first-ever Super Bowl commercial for a taco truck to winning the first Webby for a Latino publication, I’ve helped push culture forward through storytelling.
This diverse skill set enables me to collaborate effectively with teams, oversee the entire production process, and ensure the highest quality in every project.
Outside of the brand world, I also dive into independent projects. My latest fiction short hit festivals like New Orleans, NYLFF, and Morelia Film Festival, and won the Max Latino Short Film Competition—it’s now streaming on Max!
Right now, I’m in post-production on my first feature documentary, We Save Us, set for release in fall 2025.
Let’s connect! :)
